Getting to Whakapapa Ski Field form Auckland or Wellington
From Taupō, it’s about a 90-minute drive south along State Highway 1, then up State Highway 47 to Whakapapa Village. If you’re coming from Wellington, the journey takes around 4.5 hours by car, following State Highway 1 north before turning onto State Highway 4 and Bruce Road. From Auckland, it’s about 4.5 hours south via State Highway 1 to Taupō, then following the same route.
Can you drive to Whakapapa Ski Field?
