Tūroa 2026 ski season is scheduled to open on Saturday 4 July. The ski area has been preparing for winter operations, with sightseeing, sledding and beginner snow experiences expected to begin from early July.
Tūroa is not yet open for skiing and riding, but the ski area is preparing for its first planned day of operation on Saturday 4 July.
Early-season conditions are still in place on Mt Ruapehu, and snow coverage remains limited. More snow is forecast from Sunday into Monday, which could help improve coverage as the season gets underway.
