Mt Hutt and The Remarkables will both wrap up their 2026 ski seasons this Sunday, 11 October, bringing another couple of major ski fields to the end of the 2026 ski season
Mt Hutt will finish the season with its annual Dog Derby, with competitors and their dogs taking on the mountain and raising money for SARDA Avalanche Search Dogs.
The Remarkables will also close on Sunday 11th Ocotober after one final weekend of spring skiing.
Before that, Mt Olympus closes on Saturday, 10 October, with a Closing Day Beach Party featuring costumes, inflatables, drinks and plenty of spring corn for the final laps of the season.
The 2026 season is winding down, although there is still skiing left at Cardrona and on Mt Ruapehu.
