Mt Hutt and Cardrona Alpine Resort have delayed their opening days due to a lack of natural snowfall, which has been slow to arrive this year. Conditions have been drier and warmer than expected, although temperatures have now dropped significantly and snowmaking is in full swing.
Mt Hutt will be playing a waiting game at the moment but will hopefully open on 20 June. This will be snow dependant.
Cardrona is planning to open on 20 June.
As they say, a delayed start doesn’t necessarily mean a bad season. Once the snow arrives, we’ll see you on the slopes.
