Ohakune Junction
Retro Day is returning to Ohakune Junction on Saturday 3 October 2026, bringing old-school ski style, live DJs and plenty of retro fun to town.
The event will be held at 4 Thames Street, Ohakune, with skiers, snowboarders, locals and visitors encouraged to dig out their best vintage ski gear and get involved. Expect everything from bright ’80s ski suits to ’90s gear and classic après-ski outfits, with prizes for some of the best-dressed people on the day.
There will also be live DJs and retro music throughout the day and night, along with ski and snowboard style displays, prizes, après-ski specials and retro cocktails around town.
Keep an eye out for the Retro Police, who may be handing out fines for particularly impressive retro fashion.
