Green Steam Tāhuna 2026

Green Steam Tāhuna returns for its third year, with another human-powered mission from Arthur’s Point to Coronet Peak and back

Participants meet at Gantley’s Tavern before biking to Coronet Peak, heading uphill on the mountain, skiing or snowboarding back down and then riding back to Gantley’s Tavern.

The event is designed to be flexible, with participants welcome to join for the full route or only part of the day. E-bikes are also welcome.

Green Steam Tāhuna, the event as a fun group day focused on earning your turns and lower-emissions recreation, with skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and hiking all welcome for the uphill section.
